Nobody expected the Rocks to do as phenomenally as they did, especially after losing 9 in a row earlier in the season. I wasn't quick enough, plus I'm having a hard time feeling graciously about the lickin' we took from your Rockies. I had actually entertained *no* thought that the Rockies might actually win until after the series went 0-3 for us. It was just unfathomable. I console myself by reminding myself that even the management and ownership of the D'backs were shocked by the team's showing this year. It was among their goals for the 2008 season to reach the first round of the playoffs. And, here it is, one year early, and they reached the NLCS. Still, though... That's little consolation. I must say, we'll be rooting for the Rockies when they play the Indians or the Red Sox. There's so much I don't like about the AL, so I always root against them. Congratulations (said with well-meaning, but unenthusiastically). ~sigh~
