It was apparently no surprise that homegrown muslim terrorist Major Nidal Malik Hasan, US Army, was a strong supporter of homicide bombings. Aces of Spades posts this from the Austin Statesman:
The postings appeared to have been made by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who was killed during the shootings at the Army post incident that left least 11 others dead and 31 wounded. The officials say they are still trying to confirm that he was the author. They say an official investigation was not opened. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case. One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.
“To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause,” said the Internet posting. “Scholars have paralled (sic) this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers.“
In a war against militant islam we need to be careful not to turn citizens who happen to be muslims into muslims who happen to be citizens. Still, this was decidedly a terrorist attack by a home grown terrorist, or at least a wannabe terrorist.
From Power Line (by way of Maggie’s Farm):
The Headline of the Day, from the BBC:
Shooting Raises Fears For Muslims In US Army
Really? Right now the body count stands at:
Non-Muslims 13
Muslims 0
Let’s stop calling this a tragedy and call it what it is – a terrorist attack.

There’s a
For the record, I think it’s a bad thing to do. Periodically there’s a bit in the news about some guy (usually drunk) who hops the fence at the zoo to taunt the bears or who think it’s cool to mess with the chained up doberman. In either case the results are the same – the drunk gets his face handed to him on a bloody claw.
