Go Air Force!
Ah, there are some things that just bring joy to my heart. A week after Navy beat Notre Dame, Air Force crushed the Irish at South Bend. Navy hadn’t beaten them since 1963, but Air Force is reasonably used to it. When I was a cadet in the early 80’s, we beat them three years running (1982-1984), and then again the next year.

Wow, they are just awful this year. Kind of like the Gophers.

It would be hard to take a team called the Gophers seriously. Kind of like the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs.

They’ve rarely had to suffer being taken seriously, that’s for sure.

When I was at USAFA, Joe Montana was the Notre Dame QB who kicked our butts. I’m glad to hear your years had better luck

Freshman year was pretty horrendous, but then they figured out that up-the-middle, up-the-middle, up-the-middle, punt, wasn’t a good strategy. Falcons went to the Liberty Bowl and did well for the next few years after.
