Random Band Meme
This one sounds simple, ends up less so. The idea: create a fake band and their first album. Here’s how it works:
The first article title on the page is the name of your band. - http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album. - http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
And here’s the result:
Let’s pass this to Karen and kingdavid.

I did mine last night; but, I haven’t been able to photoshop the picture to put on the name and the quote. I can’t figure out how to git-er-done. I thought there might be a way to do it on Microsoft Picture Manager, but no luck. I don’t have any other photoshop software right now.

Got Powerpoint?

I did try powerpoint; but when I went to save it as a picture, it saved the picture, but not the text in the textboxes that I had put on. Is there some other step I missed?

PS: I also tried to upload the ppt file, but it just put on the link, not the picture itself; didn’t take the time to try and figure that step out either.

Oops, my bad. I missed a step. Go download IrfanView. It’s the best image handler/resizer/manipulator out there - and it’s free. I pulled the basic image into Powerpoint, added the text box, and then grouped the image and the text. Then copy and paste the image/text (not the Powerpoint file) into IrfanView. From there you can save it as a jpg/gif or whatever. (It’s actually easier than it sounds.)

I think I can figure that out. Thanks.
